  1. I’ve booked the cruise from Singapore to Hongkong in March 2019. The ship makes four stops in Vietnam. Which kind of visa is applicable in this case? Am I eligible for loose-leaf visa upon arriving at the first Vietnam sea port? What is the procedure in this case?

    1. Dear Alex
In this case, you should apply for a visa at Embassy before arrival because of your arrival by Cruise not by air.

      1. Thank you for the prompt answer!
I’ve found the following Information on the official site of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism:

Immigration procedure for visitors entering Viet Nam by sea

(TITC) – Visitors receive and fill out the visa application form from Vietnamese tour operators (partners welcoming cruise visitors to Viet Nam).

        – When the ship docks, visitors ashore and present their passport so that Port Border Unit checks, compares and issues separate entry visa.

        – Visitors manage their own passport and separate visa during sightseeing time in Viet Nam.

        – When exiting Viet Nam, visitors present their separate visa for Port Border Unit to stamp “Invalid” on visa.

        – For international cruise ships which have the itinerary through many Vietnamese ports, visitors carry out entrance procedure at the first port; exit procedure at the last port; and checklist reference when get on and off ships at the other ports.

        – The visa fee for visitors entering Viet Nam by sea is USD5 per person.

Could you confirm that this procedure is applicable to me (since I’m a cruise passenger arriving to Vietnam by sea)?

        Thank you!
